| Article 404.80(A) states that switches shall be *readily accesible not
more than 6ft., 7in. (2.0m), from the floor to the center of the
switch.With no other height requirements.
* Is there a specific code, with Inches from doorframes, etc., for this
position as well ?

No, they can be anywhere. Article 404.80(A) does not apply. It only
applies in parts of the US, and I'm assuming you live in the same part
of the world as I do. How stupid is that?

That's not it: I'm saying how do you figure out How Far In on the wall a
switch goes, since 404.80(A) tells us How Far Up on a Wall a switch may
go, I'm asking How do you figure out How Far In a wall a switch should
be placed.... this should be easy rather than stupid....[?6 to 9 Inches
to the center of the switch?] The NEC doesn't say anything about This
Specific Side Measure., so I guess it's where ever the heck you feel
like as long as you can reach it when you walk into a room.
