Hi all,

As my company is preparing to approve products for both US and European
market, I am trying to get some answers regarding the Radio
requirements for each.

While in Europe (EN 300 220-1 and 220-3) they talk in EIRP, the FCC
talks about field strength.what is exactly the tradeoff?
Also Europe specifies the Duty cycle for each freqeuncy (we use 433
and 866Mhz), FCC discuss only the field strength. However I understand
that FCC disusses rms values and allows for a 20db higher limit if th
duty cycle is less then 10%. Is it so? can someone sort the matter?
Is it allowed by the FCC to have a jumper which limits the RF power,
and to specify in the literature not to change that jumper position, or
will FCC consider this to be non complying?

Did anyone here pass a product that was tuned for max power for europe
(10dBm for our frequencies) but still complied with FCC requirements?

As I am new in the RF field, and have more experince in the safety
issues, I will be happy to hear any comments you might have.

Thanks,
