I have seen a number of manufactures talk about their communication
links being PELV such as Lutron on their Grafik Eye products.
Other manufacturers have the same sort of product with a low voltage
communications link (24V) but they don't mention anything about PELV.

I understand what PELV means but am not sure when PELV is required (as
opposed to just isolated low voltage tied to ground but not labelled
as PELV, SELV, FELV or anything else, just 24V).

Any help would be appreciated.
