I have a couple wanting to purchase a used manufactured home in Alabama.
Their Beacon score is 623. Does anyone know of a company besides Wells Fargo
and Transland that can help?

Beacon is one of three scores, the lenders will use the middle of the 3
scores, which can be higher or lower than the Beacon.

Manufactured homes can be financed, BUT they have to be built after 1978*,
be set on a permanant foundation, and the land must be owned by the
borrower - the lenders will not give a home loan to a trailer in a park.

(*) this date is either 1978 or 1976, I forget which.

Greentree and Conseco will finance single-wide mobile homes.
